This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 891.7730 feet [271.8124 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Daviot to Newtonmore levelling line. The surveyor's description was W face, SW angle of "Avengormack" [sic], E side of road.
Third Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1956-68)
This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, Scotland. It was included on the Dalwhinnie to Daviot levelling line.

Necessary to access garden so courtesy ring by doorbell first. As already mentioned, the building looks much newer than the 1940s FB. Has the FB been refixed after being rescued from downtakings from a previous building, or is this a very good restoration of the old stone shell? FB was painted black some time ago.
