This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 81.3570 feet [24.7976 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Dunbar Circuit levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on face of living rock, Knockenhair Road.

Numerically 392 is Scotland's oldest flush bracket. It would have been emplaced before October 1913 when levelling of the Dunbar Circuit commenced. Revisited to photograph in better light.
