This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 226.2880 feet [68.9726 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Buckland to Sapperton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on E. face of lock-keeper's cottage, Radcot Lock.

The usual lock-keeper was not on duty, and I could not gain access. However, the house looks far too new, so I suspect it is missing. It is not listed in the OS database - I realise that is no guarentee of its status.
