This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 238.6020 feet [72.7259 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Buckland to Sapperton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on stone in buttress, E. face of St. John's Bridge over River Thames.
Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included as a side level on the Buckland to Sapperton levelling line.

I don't doubt that this one's still there, but I didn't get the chance to see it. It appears to be on an island where the only access is over one of two weirs with Environment Agency 'No unauthorised persons may use this weir' signs.
