This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 336.3790 feet [102.5283 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Buckland to Sapperton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on foundation of railway bridge over canal, Siddington.

The railway bridge is no longer there in its entirety, but what I assume to be part of it remains by the old towpath. I had a look behind the vegetation growing by what's left of the bridge and couldn't see it.
