Second Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1912-21)
This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 1197.9150 feet [365.1245 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Greetland to Skipton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.W. angle of outhouse, Rough Field Head.

Details as per RHW except I would consider it to be in good condition. There is no sign of the former outhouse, though it appears its stones have been used to build this section of the wall as the stone is better faced than the average dry stone wall material. I suspect the FB may not be exactly in its original position. The cut BM over the wall is worth a look.

Rough Field Head- wall. SE face of field wall, 10km E of track, 50m N of farm access.. FB at a drunken angle, readable with binocs from verge (mind the ditch!). Stone-cut bolted BM has been built into NW face of same wall, both doubttless from same former outbuilding.
