This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 1292.4080 feet [393.9260 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Greetland to Skipton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.W. angle of farm house, Stairs Hole.

I have logged this as probably destroyed as there is a slight chance that the FB is lying about in the demolished and overgrown masonry. The SW face of the old farmhouse is partially standing but I suspect the FB may have been towards the South corner which is destroyed. I tried to look at as many stones as possible which were lying about, and turned some over but to no avail. I'll be back!
