It was included on the Greetland to Skipton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on W. face of cottages, E. side of Halifax Road, 1 chain S. from Methodist Chapel, Hermit Hole.
Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Skipton to Greetland levelling line.

Slight remains of the old cottages are all thats left.

The cottages mentioned in the description are long gone and I suppose the FB went went with them. The Methodist Chapel has also gone but you can identify its former position as the perimeter walls are still there so you can walk one chain (22 yards) up the road past a car sales garage to the site of the former cottages.
