This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 346.3960 feet [105.5815 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Greetland to Skipton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.E. base of arch of canal bridge, Silsden.

Logged on 31st December 2005 by runnerbean. Condition: Probably destroyed.
New bridge, no sign of FB although there is a roughly FB size hole in the wall as if the FB was put on the new bridge in a similar position to the original but then went missing??? However I suspect it is just a drain hole.

Silsden road bridge over the canal at
SE042462 is a modern replacement.
The original archway has gone.
