This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 552.9972 feet [168.5535 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Aberystwyth to Lampeter, Aberystwyth to Machynlleth and Cardigan to Aberystwyth levelling lines.

I'm sorry to report this FBM is now very severely damaged, maybe even destroyed - the granite pillar has been ripped out and is lying prone on the grass verge. Wouldn't be surprised if someone bags it for a rockery. Dark so couldn't see any of the underground works.
